What Are the Business Benefits of Virtualization?
Virtualization power panel live on SYS-CON.TV

Server virtualization is great for the data center in so many ways that it's easy to see why it's so popular. It reduces hardware costs, makes server provisioning far more flexible and ensures IT can be more responsive to business needs. But is there a proper understanding of the dependencies between business applications and the underlying infrastructure in the marketplace? Without that, isn't virtualization potentially hazardous, rather than beneficial?

At the Virtualization Conference & Expo 2007 West, power panelists Gordon Jackson, David Christian, Ken Jisser, and Ben Rudolph, joined by moderator Jeremy Geelan, engaged in a lively discussion about the many different layers of virtualization, such as server virtualization, and how virtualization can help your business to succeed. For those new to virtualization,  the power panel also covered the most basic question - 'What is virtualization?'
